Why would a church kick a young girl out of the church she loves when she reports she has been abused by someone in the church? This is actually quite common in churches, and it happened more than once to our guest Bridget Seavey. She was raised in the Fundamental Baptist Church and was assaulted as a young girl by a church leader. No one helped her when she reported the abuse. She married her now ex husband in the church who started abusing her during their honeymoon. Even after the black and blue marks showing all over her body, no one helped her. When she became pregnant with her first child, she hoped that things would change. This is Part One of Bridget’s incredible story. Don’t miss it!

She was in an abusive relationship for nearly 8 years, and the threat of abuse continues even after the divorce. She’s currently studying to be a victim advocate.
