Our guest is Hope Makena from beautiful Nairobi Kenya, residing in Ontario, Canada. She tells us about what life was like in Kenya and wanting to be a doctor when she grows up. We also talk about her years in college and quitting medical school. She candidly shares how she suffered abuse at the hands of a friend one summer, and the aftermath. Hear how God showed up miraculously at a train station in her darkest days. She became a missionary with a Toronto Christian organization, and then met her husband. Her first son was born and she experienced first hand the realities of post partum depression. She offers hope and tools for those suffering from many of these traumas she has experienced and says “You are not alone!” Join us for the journey with a lovely lady who fell in love with Jesus all over again.

Hope Makena is a Certified Human Resources Professional in Canada who has served in the corporate world for more than a decade, helping organizations implement changes and support their staff through the process. During this time, individuals started approaching her for help in their life and career changes, especially in periods where they felt hopeless and without a clear vision or purpose. She has since then began to coach those who are going through major career and life transitions, helping them gain more clarity in who and whose they are, and empowering them with the tools to build confidence and courage to move forward in pursuing their BIG goals.
