This is one of the best books I have ever read about healing from domestic violence and abuse. It is the textbook we use in our Mending the Soul groups. It is written by a professor of theology and ethics and a professional trauma counselor. It is biblically and psychologically-informed.

Chris Burton Jacome is a Flemenco Guitartist and his wife is a Flemenco dancer. I've known them for many years and enjoy their local performances. Check out this superb album, stomp your feet, clap your hands, and be sure to shout, "Ole!"
Wanda is an awesome woman of God. I've been on her radio program a couple times. She is an award-winning Christian author and poet. This book is about believing who you are in Christ and turning off the negative voices in your head. She is a very encouraging lady. She will bless your heart!
The guide to the authentic Paris written by my sister, Heather, a French citizen. I've been to France once, and returning for another trip this year! It is a very thorough guide that covers the "must see" attractions, French history, using the metro, safety, basic French vocabulary, and essential customs. So check it out and make plans for your own trip!

The Lakota reservation in Pine Ridge, South Dakota is the poorest county in the country. Many families live without heat, running water, or electricity. I have been to Pine Ridge to visit the family that I sponsor there. It is like visiting a third world country. My Mom is a volunteer for One Spirit. It is a program to help the reservation be more self sufficient and break the cycle of poverty. There are many ways to help the Lakota people on their website. You can sponsor a family, donate supplies to the youth center, provide a food box, or wood for a stove. I have met those that run this program and the wonderful residents of Pine Ridge. The Lakota people don't have much, but they share everything. One Spirit is making a difference. I highly recommend supporting this charity. Click here for the website.
My dog, Bear, photo bombed my photo shoot, but he is so cute I had to put his picture on here. We rescued him from being chained up in a backyard. We also adopted Codi, who passed away after a year. My husband and I have been involved in Saving Paws Rescue for many years. They rescue German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois dogs on the euthanasia list. SPR helps dogs that no one else will. There are many ways you can help these awesome dogs. They just need love, training, exercise, and patience. The dogs are so grateful to be given a second chance.
