Marcy Pusey is our fun, interesting and empowering guest for you this week! We had a great conversation about a variety of important topics, we made it a two part series. I was going to come up with some clever way to introduce her, but I think she describes herself best:
“Not only do I have the clinical degrees and professional experience in mental health and trauma, but I’ve lived a lot of what I’ve learned and teach firsthand as well. I’m a survivor of narcissistic marital abuse, Christian divorce (right?), a fost-adopt mama, lived nearly a decade overseas, raised Third Culture Kids, been to over 40 countries, geek out on personality-typing/wiring, the brain, expressive arts, and the power of storytelling. I find that a lot of what I speak on brings a new way of understanding self and the world, leading to less shame and healthier relationships. I talk about parenting, faith, responsibility and stewardship (of our own lives and those around us), mindset, writing and publishing, travel, trauma, resilience and post traumatic growth, personality (MBTI, Enneagram, Strengths, 4 Tendencies, etc)… and I’m always happy to discuss why Pepsi is better than Coke :p”

Biography:
Marcy is the mother of four humans and two pups, but she’s also tossed pizzas for a pizzeria, acted and sang in a musical, advocated for families with special needs, made appearances in a few movies, and mimed with balloon animals at the Halifax Busker Festival. Marcy is also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Certified Trauma & Resilience Practitioner, international speaker, Story Coach, and the best-selling, award-winning author of books for adults and for children. She does her best writing on retreats with a nearby hot-tub, in any castle, and within view of the sea. Marcy loves the smiles and giggles of kids who see themselves in her pages and the tearful nods of adults who realize they’re not alone by her words.
